The A4 Cabriolet from Audi proved a big hit with buyers; now comes the replacement; no longer an A4 but the A5. Replacing the A4 the newcomer arrives in what is a popular segment in the market, especially in the UK.
Would you believe that one quarter of cabriolet production from Audi comes to the UK; we really do go for ragtops in a big way.
Audi from research has discovered that buyers for the new A5 Cabriolet will be ideally 44 years old and will demand amongst other things, new technology. Buy the latest from Audi and they certainly will not be disappointed.

Three trim levels are offered, Standard, SE and S line, with prices ranging from £29,795 - £40,385 and topping the range, the S5 with its three litre supercharged V6 TFSI engine.
Audi has not gone down the route of opting for a folding metal hood; right away by going for fabric, they have saved weight and for many, the preference is the more traditional fabric look when it comes to style.
There are two fabric roofs available, a standard and an acoustic, with the latter as the name suggests it offers additional soundproofing.

The roof can be activated at speeds up to 31mph; it can be raised in just 15 seconds and lowered in 17 seconds.
If you have ever driven an open top, especially in our climate and on a dullish day, it can be chilly; so you turn on the heater; but with the A5 Cabriolet, there is the option of a neck-level heating system and there is even solar heat reflecting upholstery for those hot days.
In our market, like the rest of the Audi family; an excellent choice of engines with more to come; initially on offer, one TDI diesel and two direct injection petrol units, with a power range from 211PS to 265PS. Later this year the range expands with the 2.0 TDI 170PS and 2.7 TDI 190PS.

My own personal transmission choice is manual S tronic twin clutch and CVT.
Most of my driving on the press launch in Spain centred on the 2.0 TFSI petrol engine; certainly with 211PS available it performs extremely well. Top speed (where legal) in manual trim is 150mph, with rest to 62mph coming up in a respectable 7.5 seconds.
Economy and expect to get 42mpg on the combined fuel cycle and the emission figure is 156g/km.
